Area:
The hillside  surrounding the house is known as Le Vigne because there were once vineyards so the climate is particularly mild compared to the surrounding area. Situated south of the imposing Radicofani, topped by the ancient fortress that is a landmark for the whole of southern Tuscany, it also has a beautiful Romanesque church and plentiful services for every day living.  San Casciano dei Bagni further south is famous for the thermal spa where you can luxuriate in the hot thermal pool and choose an array of massages, equally well known are the restaurants and craft shops.
